HEAVY BREATHING
A few of my favorite title cards from Batman: The Animated Series.
You want to know a reason why I still love Batman: The Animated Series more than 20 years after it debuted? Each episode is like a stand-alone noir mini-movie. Definitely inspired by those great crime films of the 1930s and 1940s. You squint hard enough, you can almost imagine these episodes in black-and-white.
The fact they had individual title cards on the original series more than magnifies that viewpoint.
in the 1940s the word “boner” used to mean “huge mistake” and it still pretty much means that
how the fuck would you know that
because i know things
i read these to my dad and he literally fell off his chair laughing and is now purple in the face
Just to remind all of you of the greatest single episode of any Batman-show ever produced in the history of everything.
hahahaha this episode, oh my god I remember all the lyrics even
ugh I think I drew fanart for this episode a long time ago too now that I think of it
This is the first episode of The Brave and the Bold I have ever seen and wow, that is chock full of things I love.
NEIL PATRICK HARRIS
AKA COOLEST CHARACTER EVER
I remember this episode
This was the best
If my life could be a musical I wouldn’t mind being under the Music Meister’s spell.
OH MY GOD THE WHOLE EPISODE IS GLORIOUS
Wonder Woman and sassy Batman. This image is based off of a series of tweets by Chris Sims that I included above. I thought it was funny, so I drew it.
Fan. Tastic.
